- Writing - Using UtahWrite students were to continue working on a persuasive essay regarding the super skills classes they have each afternoon. This assignment will be due Thursday. Students will be given time in class to work on the essay tomorrow as well.
- Reading - Students reading Homer P. Figg with me read a couple of chapters. All other students read a short story about poetry while leaving tracks of their thinking, and then reading a book of their own choice, and leaving tracks of their thinking - due today. This assignment is part of their Independent Work grade.
- English - turned in English page 162 (1-24) - today's topic was What is an Adjective - we are reviewing the unit with a worksheet for each lesson before the unit test. homework is: Worksheet 1 - What is an Adjective - the Writing Application is extra credit - due tomorrow.
- Social Studies - I will be gathering the notebooks to give credit for each year that students have notes. If they are missing a year between 1775 and 1783 they can borrow a classmate's notebook to get caught up. Students were able to choose whether they wanted to draw a map of the United States boundaries in 1783 or a narrative about the Treaty of Paris - Today they began working on a team research assignment studying leaders from the American Revolution - We will work more on it tomorrow - the report is due Friday.

- Reading - Students reading The Jacket with me finished their book. - Social Studies - We studied the Victory at Yorktown in 1781, and the negotiations taking place in Paris in 1782: Students were given an assignment to compare and contrast the Boston Massacre with the Waxhaw Massacre using a venn diagram. Each section of the venn diagram needs three great points.
