• Math - turned in Lesson 97 - today's topic - Negative Numbers - homework is: Lesson 98 (due tomorrow) 
• Science with Mrs. Nelson
• Journals - orange journals were due today: every student is expected to write a journal entry for each school day.
• Spelling - students were expected to sort the spelling words, write the rule, and seven sentences using two spelling words per sentence.  All students finished the assignment in class.
• Study Island - We continued with the same topics from yesterday.  If students completed the tests on those topics they were allowed to play games on the same topics.  Students can work on study island at home too.
• Reading - Students reading Phoebe the Spy read with me today - and we finished the book.  All other students read a short story, summarized that story, then read a book of their own choice, and left tracks of their thinking - due today. This assignment is part of their Independent Work grade.
• English - I made a mistake in thinking that we were taking the test today.  We usually review each of the topics with a worksheet.  So today students worked on worksheet 5.1 Correcting Sentences - due tomorrow 
• Social Studies - Class notes on the judicial branch Then we watched a short video about the three branches of government.
• Art - with Mrs. Jones
