Tuesday 3/20/2012

  • Math - turned in Investigation 10 and Alaska Homestead worksheet - today's topic was Rounding Mixed Numbers to the Nearest Whole Number - homework is: Lesson 101 (due tomorrow) 
  • Science with Mrs. Nelson
  • Journals - orange journals were due today: every student is expected to write a journal entry for each school day.
  • Spelling - students were expected to sort the spelling words, write the rule, and seven sentences using two spelling words per sentence.  All students finished the assignment in class.
  • Study Island - Students were asked to complete two tests in Elementary Language Arts at 80% or better and then play games in studyisland.com. 
  • Reading - Students reading Frindle read with me today.  All other students read with a partner from either The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg, or Drylongso. Upon completing the assigned reading students read silently a book of their choice. This assignment is part of their Independent Work grade.
  • English - Turned in Worksheet 4 More Uses for Commas. Today we reviewed Interjections -Homework is worksheet 5 Interjections - due tomorrow 
  • Social Studies - Students worked in groups to describe what is contained in the first three amendments to the constitution.
  • Art - with Mrs. Jones
Please remember that Friday is an early release day.  It is also the last day of the quarter.
