- Line Art - new assignment. The finished project looks like a square getting smaller and smaller and slowly turning on the page.
- Study Island - Students worked on finishing the "spelling" and "read and write numbers" tests at 80% or better, then played games dealing with those topics in study island.
- Reading - Students reading Frindle read with me today. All other students read their assigned book with a partner and then read on their own. This assignment is part of their Independent Work grade.

- English - We spent some more time reviewing Quotations. Students were given an opportunity to correct all missing problems on their quotations worksheet to earn full credit.
- Battleship - The patrol boat was sunk because of how well the students behaved in Computers, and they sunk the battleship today. The only boat left to find is the submarine. We will try again on Thursday. In the meantime we have to work on earning battleship points.

- Circles - We found the diameter and circumference of 12 different circles. When we divided the diameter by the circumference we got a number close to 3.14 . . . Then we talked a little bit about the number pi.
- Study Island - Students worked on finishing any pre-tests that aren't already done, took two tests in ELA or ELA common core and then played games on that site.
- Reading - Students reading The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg read with me today. All other students read a short story, summarized that story, and then read a book of their own choice, and left tracks of their thinking - due today. This assignment is part of their Independent Work grade.
- English - Turned in worksheet 1: Correct Sentences - Today we reviewed what we know about Proper Nouns and Proper Adjectives - homework is Worksheet 2: Proper Nouns and Adjectives
- Social Studies - Students created (as notes in their notebooks) a diagram showing how a bill becomes a law. We watched "I'm Just a Bill" from Schoolhouse Rock.

- Study Island - We continued with the same topics from yesterday. If students completed the tests on those topics they were allowed to play games on the same topics. Students can work on study island at home too.
- Reading - Students reading Phoebe the Spy read with me today - and we finished the book. All other students read a short story, summarized that story, then read a book of their own choice, and left tracks of their thinking - due today. This assignment is part of their Independent Work grade.
- English - I made a mistake in thinking that we were taking the test today. We usually review each of the topics with a worksheet. So today students worked on worksheet 5.1 Correcting Sentences - due tomorrow
- Social Studies - Class notes on the judicial branch Then we watched a short video about the three branches of government.
